Barbara Stuffer lives in St. Christina in Val Gardena and started for the Sci Club Gardena Raiffeisen . The painter made her international debut in an FIS competition in 2003 in Bischofshofen . In 2006 she took part in the Junior World Championships in Kranj and was 17th, 2007 in Tarvisio 26th and 2009 in Štrbské Pleso , where she jumped to 31st place. In the summer of 2004 Stuffer jumped for the first time in Park City in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup and finished 20th. It was also the first points won by the Italian. From 2005 to 2011 the Italian competed regularly in the top racing series. In Planica , she also won first points in her first winter competition, finishing 21st. In 2007 Stuffer won the bronze medal at the Italian championship behind Lisa Demetz and Elena Runggaldier . Until 2009 it mostly achieved results between 15th and 30th place. Downbreaks were rare. Stuffer achieved her best result in winter in January 2009 in Toblach with a 13th place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 , where a women's ski jumping competition was held for the first time, Stuffer came in 36th and last place. On August 13th, 2009 she took 9th place at the summer COC in Pöhla , which was the best place in her career. In the summer of 2009 she finished 24th in the overall ranking. After that, however, she was no longer able to build on her previous achievements. Except for a 25th place in Liberec in the summer of 2010, she missed the 2nd round in every competition. Due to this unsuccessfulness, she ended her career at the age of only 21 after the 2010/11 season .
