Lisa Demetz (born May 21, 1989 in Bozen , South Tyrol ) is a former Italian ski jumper .

Career

Lisa Demetz started ski jumping in 2003 and was Italian junior champion in Pellizzano in her debut year , which was also the first title win by a female ski jumper in Italy. She repeated this title win in Dobbiaco in 2005. Also in 2005 she won the women's title, which was held for the first time on the normal hill. Since 2003 she has competed internationally in FIS competitions , she made her debut in August 2003 in Bischofshofen jumping on the K70 hill in 29th place. Her first appearance at the Ski Jumping Continental Cup followed in the 2004/05 season in Park City , where she was twice eleventh. From then on, Demetz regularly took part in the Continental Cup and was able to conquer the first podium place in Meinerzhagen in August 2005 with second place, and in January 2006 in Toblach she succeeded again. There she celebrated her first victory three years later in front of her teammate Evelyn Insam and the Norwegian Line Jahr .

At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 , where women's ski jumping was held for the first time, Demetz took 18th place in difficult conditions with snowfall and changing winds. At the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum , Turkey , she took third place.

Lisa Demetz lives in Ortisei in Val Gardena and was a student at the Stams Ski School .
