Basses Blatt is a free advertising paper that most households in the Segeberg district receive. Basses Blatt appears every Wednesday and on the weekend with a circulation of 46,000 copies (2018).
The founder of the advertising paper was Jürgen von Basse, the first production site in its private rooms in Riihimäkistraße in Bad Segeberg . The newspaper appeared for the first time on January 29, 1983, and was twelve pages long.
From November 1983 the editorial office was located at Kurhausstrasse 22. In the first year of existence, the distribution area ranged from Trappenkamp and Bornhöved in the north to Gnissau in the east, from Nahe in the south to Bockhorn in the west. Later, the former Wensin , Wankendorf and Stolpe offices were added, as well as Sülfeld and Kayhude in the south, Dersau and Kalübbe in the Plön district and Boostedt .
In 1985 the Lübecker Nachrichten was looking for a partner publisher. Since January 1, 1986, LN has held a 50 percent share in Basses Blatt Verlag GmbH . In 2012, the founder of the publishing house Jürgen von Basse sold his stake to a private investor group, Basses Blatt Beteiligungsgesellschaft. Niels Oumar has been the managing director since September 2013.
In May 1993, the publishing house at Kurhausstraße 14 was opened. In June 2016, the Lübecker Nachrichten moved its office into the premises of Basses Blatt. In January 2019 the publishing house moved to its current premises at Kurhausstraße 12.
Basses sheet was printed from 1991 to 2011 in the von Stern'schen print shop in Lüneburg . Since 2012, the production has been carried out in the Kieler Nachrichten print shop in Kiel .
