Nahe ( Low German Up de Nah ) is a municipality in the Segeberg district in Schleswig-Holstein . The nearby brickworks and Naherwohld are in the municipal area.

Geography and traffic

It is close to the federal highway 432 , the old connecting road Hamburg - Bad Segeberg . Together with Itzstedt , which is immediately to the north , it is classified in the Schleswig-Holstein state planning as a rural central location for the surrounding villages.

From 1907 to 1973 the Elmshorn-Barmstedt-Oldesloer Eisenbahn (EBO) ran through Nahe. She had a train station there that was used as a residential building for a long time, but has now been demolished. Today a cycle path leads over the railway line.

Nahe is connected to the network of the Hamburg transport association via two bus lines. One line runs between Hamburg 's Ochsenzoll underground station and Bad Segeberger station, the other line connects the AKN station in Henstedt-Ulzburg with the station in Bad Oldesloe.
