Geography and traffic

The street village of Bühnsdorf is located about 7 km southeast of Bad Segeberg in a rural setting. The federal highway 21 runs to the west from Bad Segeberg to Bad Oldesloe , to the north the federal highway 206 runs from Bad Segeberg to Lübeck.

history

Bühnsdorf was first mentioned in 1142 as Buenestorpe . In 1359 it became the property of Reinfeld Monastery , which was sold to the Danish royal family in 1582. From 1746 the population could buy themselves out of serfdom .

Community representation

The KWG electoral community has had all eight seats in the municipal council since the local elections in 2018 .

The coat of arms was awarded in 1993; two years later, Bühnsdorf also got a municipal flag, the design of which is based on the coat of arms.
