Groß Kummerfeld is a municipality in the Segeberg district in Schleswig-Holstein . Kleinkummerfeld, Kleinkummerfeld-Bahnhof and Willingrade are in the municipality.

Geography and traffic

Groß Kummerfeld is located east of Neumünster between the federal highway 430 to Plön and the federal highway 205 to Bad Segeberg . The Kleinkummerfeld station in the municipality on the Neumünster – Bad Oldesloe railway line has not been served since 1984; the trains of the line RB 82 pass the municipality without stopping.

The source of the Stör is in the district of Willingrade .

• Groß Kummerfeld is first mentioned in a document in 1141. In the Kiel city books it is "Cumbervelde".
