Schwissel is an official municipality in the Segeberg district in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geography and traffic

Schwissel can be reached via the autobahn 21 via the exit of the same name (number 14).

The first paved road to the neighboring communities was built in 1908 and 1909.

history

Urn and grave finds in the municipality indicate a prehistoric settlement. One of the graves was dug 4000 years ago.
