Bahrenhof is a municipality in the Segeberg district in Schleswig-Holstein . The community has no other districts.
Geography and traffic
Bahrenhof is a scattered settlement about 8 km southeast of Bad Segeberg and about 10 km north of Bad Oldesloe in a rural area. The federal highway 21 runs to the west from Bad Segeberg to Bad Oldesloe, to the north the federal highway 206 runs from Bad Segeberg to Lübeck . The Neumünster-Bad Oldesloe railway runs across the municipality. The Wakendorf I train station is in the immediate vicinity of Bahrenhof, while Altengörs train station is north of the municipality.
history
The place Barenhof emerged from a preliminary work of the Reinfeld monastery , which was parceled out in 1746 .
politics
Since the local elections of 2008, all seven seats in the municipal council of the voter community held KWG.
economy
The municipal area is predominantly agricultural, but also has extensive forest areas. The largest employer is the Werkgemeinschaft Bahrenhof, a facility for severely disabled people, which has been housed in the former Gut Barenhof since 1982 and is supported by a private association.
