Neuengörs is a municipality in the Segeberg district in Schleswig-Holstein . Altengörs and Stubben are located in the municipality, which has existed in its current form since 1972.

Geography and traffic

Neuengörs is located about 8 km southeast of Bad Segeberg in a rural area. The federal motorway 21 runs to the west from Bad Segeberg to Bad Oldesloe , north of the A 20 from Bad Segeberg to Lübeck. Altengörs has a train station on the Neumünster – Bad Oldesloe railway line .

history

Altengörs was first mentioned in a document in 1249, Neuengörs was probably founded around 1150 in connection with the Siegesburg in Bad Segeberg . Stubben was first mentioned in a document in 1348.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1972, the communities Altengörs and Stubben were incorporated.

Community representation

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the AKW electoral community has had six seats since the 2003 local elections, and the ABKWG five.

Blazon : "A curved silver tip in blue, this topped with a red millstone, accompanied by a silver oak leaf at the front and a rooted silver tree stump at the back."

The coat of arms was approved in 1997 together with the flag, the design of which is based on the coat of arms.
