Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell (English for: " Bat out of Hell II: Back to Hell ") is the sixth studio album by US rock singer Meat Loaf and was released in 1993. All songs were composed by Jim Steinman , most of them come from his earlier projects. The cover was designed by Michael Whelan and is based on the cover of Bat Out of Hell , which was created by Richard Corben .

The single I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) became a worldwide number 1 hit. It stayed number one in the UK for seven weeks and became the best-selling single of the year. At the same time, Meat Loaf released Bat Out of Hell as a single, which also made it into the top 10 there. Meat Loaf remained the last artist to have two top 10 singles in the UK charts at the same time until the Manic Street Preachers in 2001.

Rock & Roll Dreams Come Through and Objects in the Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are were also released as singles, but only made it to 22nd and 90th place respectively in Germany, but became top 20 singles in the UK. The album was number 1 in Germany and stayed in the German top 10 of the album charts for 31 weeks.
