The Batavierenpad ( German "Bataverpfad" ; officially F173 ) is a Radschnellweg in the southern Dutch province of Gelderland , which is divided into two sections. The northern route leads from Beuningen via Weurt and the Maas-Waal Canal near Nijmegen's main train station , while the southern route also runs from Beuningen through the districts of Lindenholt and Nijmegen-Nieuw-West to Nijmegen-Midden near Radboud University .
construction
The rapid cycle path is not a new facility, so no new paths had to be created during the construction phase. Nevertheless, some construction work was necessary: The cycle paths were widened and renewed, with a new, red path cover. In addition, the road crossings were designed where possible so that cyclists are given priority. The total cost of improving both routes was around 7.6 million euros. On September 11, 2017, the Radschnellweg from was Assistant Secretary Piet de Klein (municipality Beuningen) and Harriët Tiemens (municipality Nijmegen) and the province of Deputies of the province of Gelderland , Connie Bieze, and the representative of Fietsersbond , Wim Bot opened.
