history

The company was founded by Ing.Anton Baierlein and produced motorcycles that were mostly equipped with built-in engines from the English manufacturer JAP with displacements from 250 to 500  cm³ .

In addition to series production, Bayerland also built racing machines. A model that was equipped with a 990 cm³ V2 JAP engine was particularly successful . The Muhldorfer track racer Josef "Sepp" Giggenbach won so among others in 1927 on the Nürburgring the Grand Prix of Germany in the 1000 cc class and crowned himself with it, as the race in this year of the motorcycle championship was the European champion . Werner Huth finished second on a Harley-Davidson, almost 16 minutes behind. Of the twelve machines that started, six drove the race to the end. Two years later, Giggenbach also won the large class at the Schleizer triangle race .

In 1930, Bayerland came to an end due to the global economic crisis .
