The Beard Peak is a 2,360  m high mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises 6 km south of the eastern foothills of Mount Mooney on the northern edge of the La Gorce Mountains .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it using aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy in 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Philip H. Beard, aerial photographer with the VX-6 flight squadron in Operation Deep Freeze of the Years 1966 and 1967.
