Beatrix Doderer

Beatrix Doderer (* 1966 in Darmstadt ) is a German actress and cabaret artist .

Life

As the youngest of three daughters of the German studies professor Klaus Doderer , Beatrix Doderer grew up in her native town. Her grandfather was the writer Otto Doderer . After graduating from high school and beginning her studies, she dropped out after one semester and attended the New Munich Drama School from 1982 to 1985 . She financed this training among other things as a flutist in Christoph Marthaler's production of William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice at the Munich Residenztheater . From 1986 to 2001 she had singing lessons with Grete Lindinger.

Doderer's first engagement took place in 1986 at what was then the Hildesheim City Theater . Further stations in her stage career up to 1999 included the Ulm Theater , the Württemberg State Theater Esslingen , the Braunschweig State Theater , the Erlangen Theater and the Münchner Kammerspiele . In 1999 Doderer went to the Stadttheater Bern for two years , from where she returned to Germany and accepted an engagement at the Theater Augsburg , where she was awarded the Augsburg Theater Prize in 2003. After a guest performance at the Heidelberg Theater, Doderer worked in Austria from 2012 to 2015, at the Salzburg State Theater and at the State Theater Lower Austria in St. Pölten. She also appears again and again at the Bavarian State Theater .

Well-known pieces in which Doderer participated were classics such as Das Käthchen von Heilbronn by Heinrich von Kleist , Emilia Galotti by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing , Anton Chekhov's cherry orchard , master builder Solness by Henrik Ibsen or Die Jungfrau von Orleans by Friedrich Schiller , the Brecht pieces Die Saint Joan of the slaughterhouses , Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti and The Threepenny Opera , as well as comedies such as Sonny Boys by Neil Simon or Oscar Wilde's Bunbury .

Beatrix Doderer has also made a name for herself as a cabaret artist. From 2004 to 2009 she played the Sugardaddy program with her partner at the time, the actor Jörg Hube , who died in 2009 . In 2010 and 2011 Doderer was a member of the Munich Lach- und Schießgesellschaft . In 2010 and 2014 she directed the programs of the cabaret artist Luise Kinseher , Simply rich and calm , before she appeared for the first time in 2016 with a solo program, Before the Wedding and Already Widow .

Since 2009 Doderer has been a lecturer at the State University for Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart . From 2013 to 2016 she led advanced training courses at the Robert Bosch Stiftung , and in 2012 she taught at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding . Since 2016 she has also been teaching at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz.

Beatrix Doderer lives in Munich.
