Beatrix Philipp (politician)
Beatrix Philipp , b. Hellweg (born July 7, 1945 in Mönchengladbach ; † May 1, 2019 in Düsseldorf ) was a German politician ( CDU ).
Life and work
After graduating from high school in 1965, Beatrix Philipp studied to be a teacher at primary and secondary schools in Freiburg im Breisgau , Frankfurt am Main and Neuss , which she completed in 1970 with the first state examination. After her legal traineeship , she passed the second state examination in 1972 and has been a teacher ever since . From 1982 to 1985 she was director of the Catholic primary school at Paulusplatz in Düsseldorf .
Beatrix Philipp was Roman Catholic and divorced and had two children.
Political party
She joined the CDU in 1972 and was a member of the executive boards of the CDU district association in Düsseldorf and the CDU district association in Bergisches Land . In addition, she was chairwoman of the Women's Union (FU) Düsseldorf and a member of the FU district committee Bergisches Land.
MPs
Beatrix Philipp was a member of the city council of Düsseldorf from 1975 to 1985 and of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1985 to 1995 , where she was the school policy spokeswoman for the CDU parliamentary group. From 1994 to 2013 she was a member of the German Bundestag . Until 2005, Beatrix Philipp always entered the Bundestag via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia , and in the 2009 Bundestag election she won her constituency directly for the first time . In the 17th electoral term she was a member of the Bundestag interior committee.
Beatrix Philipp campaigned for the financing of the project virtual reconstruction of previously destroyed Stasi files and coined the term " Stasi shredding machine ". She was a member of the advisory board of the Federal Commissioner for Stasi Records, elected by the Bundestag .
Philipp did not run for the 2013 federal election.
