Bedrana Ribo

Bedrana Ribo (born November 25, 1981 in Travnik , Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is an Austrian politician for the Greens . She has been a member of the National Council since October 23, 2019 .

Life

Bedrana Ribo attended elementary school in her hometown Travnik in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 1992 she came to Austria. After secondary school in Graz , she graduated from the Monsbergergasse Commercial Academy, where she graduated in 2003 . She then began studying business administration at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz , which she completed in 2011 as a Bachelor of Science . She completed a subsequent Master's degree in Global Studies in 2015 as a Master of Arts .

From 2008 to 2010 she was an employee in an architecture office, then in 2011 in a property management company and from 2011 in the representative network for adult representatives . She is married and has two children.

politics

Ribo was a district councilor in the Jakomini district of Graz from 2012 to 2013 and a member of the city party board of the Greens Graz from 2012 to 2015, from 2013 as financial officer. In 2015 she became a member of the City Council of Graz.

In the 2019 National Council election, she ran for the Greens behind the top candidate Jakob Schwarz as second in the list in the Styrian electoral district . On October 23, 2019 she was at the beginning of the XXVII. Legislative period as a member of the Austrian National Council . In November 2019 she was succeeded by Gerald Kuhn as councilor of the Greens in Graz. In the Green Parliamentary Club , she became the area spokesperson for seniors and care.
