Origin of name

The river was named by the first European to discover it, Andrew Forrest , in 1879 . In his diary it is written: “I call this river Behn.” Later it turned out that Forrest actually named the river after the well-known German geographer Dr. Ernst Behm wanted to name. The maps printed after 1996 have been corrected in this regard.
