The Beinn Eibhinn is a Munro classified, 1102 meter high mountain in Scotland . Its Gaelic name can be roughly translated as Adorable Mountain .
It is located in the Council Area Highland in the Grampian Mountains east of Fort William between Loch Ossian and Loch Ericht as part of a mountain range with a total of four Munros and various other peaks, running roughly from southwest to northeast. The mountain range is separated from the broad Ben Alder massif to the southeast by the broad Bealach Dubh , which is up to 722 meters above sea level .

The Beinn Eibhinn is the westernmost Munro of the mountain group and closes it off to the west with its wide massif and the pre-peaks in front of it. It is connected to the neighboring, 1116 meter high Aonach Beag via its east ridge . While it encompasses the steep and rocky Choire a 'Charra Mhòir in a semicircle to the north together with the Aonach Beag , it slopes significantly more gently from its broad summit plateau in all other directions. Several smaller peaks rise on the plateau, on the eastern edge the two main peaks of equal height and only a few meters apart. The Beinn Eibhinn is connected to other pre-peaks by a high saddle. To the west is the 921 meter high Mullach Coire nan Nead , southwest of the 920 meter high Meall Glas Choire .
Due to its location in uninhabited mountains far away from public roads, the Beinn Eibhinn can only be climbed by bivouac and long hikes or using mountain bikes if Munro excavators want to climb it together with the other three Munros in the mountain range when crossing it . Such a crossing can begin with the Càrn Dearg in the northeast or the Beinn Eibhinn in the southwest. The summit plateau of Beinn Eibhinn is reached either via the connecting ridge from Aonach Beag, or pathless from the path over Bealach Dubh to the northwest through the Coire a 'Chàrra Bhig, rising steeply to Leabaidh Chràsgach , the cut in the main ridge between Beinn Eibhinn and Aonach Beag . The southwest flank of the mountain can also be used as an ascent from Loch Ossian via the Meall Glas Choire . The starting point is either Dalwhinnie , about 20 kilometers northeast, or Corrour Station in the southwest, about 12 kilometers from Aonach Beag. Culra Bothy at the foot of the Càrn Dearg as the only possible overnight stay in a long distance without using a tent while crossing it has been closed since 2015 due to asbestos exposure . As a long day tour, the Beinn Eibhinn can also be climbed from the youth hostel on the west bank of Loch Ossian.
