Bella is a TV series by ZDF with Andrea Sawatzki in the title role. The film series was broadcast from 2010 to 2014 and consists of six episodes.

action

After learning of her husband's infidelity, Bella Jung and her fifteen-year-old daughter Lena moved from their idyllic row house settlement on the outskirts of Berlin to Kreuzberg into a city apartment. Here she builds up a new circle of friends that includes Antonia, who runs a small bar just around the corner, Christina, a cool computer analyst and regular in Toni's bar, and the policeman Sebastian, who is just going through a breakup himself .

This constellation must now prove itself in various life situations and also cope with crises. After Lena's departure as an au pair in Australia for a year, Bella and Sebastian formed a shared apartment, to which Martin joined after a while, who is still part of Bella's life. Bella is reluctant to admit to Martin that she and Sebastian are now a couple.

A dramatic event among friends leads to the fact that two-year-old Tom, Bella and Martin's godchild are orphaned. Both agree that they want to take custody of Tom. For professional reasons, however, Martin then has to move to Munich, so that Bella has to take care of Tom alone.

Just as Bella ventured into self-employment with a physiotherapy practice, suddenly her father appears, with whom she had no contact for fourteen years. Bella is determined to leave it at that, but did not expect that her daughter Lena would see it differently and would finally like to get to know her grandfather. And since Bella has a big heart and is always there for others who need help, she cannot say no to this either, especially since her father suffers a stroke. She does not regret this step either and provides her father with an apartment of his own above her massage parlor, which he shares with two other "senior musicians".

After the house where Bella works and her father lives is to be sold, all tenants go to the barricades . Her father even occupies his apartment in the style of the '68 , but takes over, which leads to another stroke, which this time is fatal. Bella is now fighting even more against the urban housing company, but mostly does this on her own and overestimates herself in the process. Resigned, she gives up and goes on vacation with little Tom, but thanks to a startling video on the Internet, she manages to turn the city around.

After an accident at Tom's birthday party, Bella's ex-husband, who had seen Bella repeatedly since they split up, becomes amnesia . The last three years have been wiped out for him and he thinks he's still married to Bella. His new girlfriend is fighting for him and Bella doesn't really want her Martin back either, because she has developed enormously in recent years, which for Martin does not exist at all. Nevertheless, heart and reason decide and both find each other again.
