Bellevue is a city in Erie County , Huron County , Seneca County and Sandusky Counties in the US state of Ohio . The number of the population was 8,193 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Sandusky metropolitan area. Bellevue was the home of Henry Morrison Flagler when he joined forces with John D. Rockefeller to form the Standard Oil Company . The property of his former Bellevuer residence on Southwest Street is the current location of the Mad River and Nickel Plate Railroad Museum . Local students attend Bellevue High School .
