Benjamin "Ben" Charles Elton (born May 3, 1959 in Catford in the London borough of Lewisham ) is a British writer , playwright and comedian and screenwriter . Career

Elton is the son of education researcher Lewis Elton . He studied acting in Manchester and originally wanted to be a theater director.
