Benny Safdie

Benny "Ben" Safdie (* 1986 in New York City ) is an American film actor and film director .

Life

Born in New York in 1986 Benny Safdie directed some short films with his older brother Josh, before 2008 Yeast of Mary Bronstein first time was for a feature film for the camera. In 2008 he and his brother presented the mumblecore The Pleasure of Being Robbed . The International Film Festival of Cannes 2009 their tragicomedy was Go Get Some Rosemary shown at the International Film Festival in Venice in 2010 they put together their short film John's Gone before. There was in 2014 also Heaven Knows What shown. Safdie played Eugene in the tragic comedy Person to Person by Dustin Guy Defa .

Her film Good Time , which he co-directed with his brother and in which he also took on a minor role, celebrated its world premiere in May 2017 at the Cannes Film Festival , where the film was nominated for the Palme d' Or. In addition, Good Time was nominated for Best Film and Audience Award at the Gotham Awards 2017.
