Bend Municipal Airport ( ICAO : KBDN, FAA LID: BDN) is an in-possession of the city public airfield 9 km northeast of the city of Bend in Deschutes County in the US state of Oregon . The airfield is currently (2009-2013) funded by the US government as a general aviation facility . The site was home to the Epic Aircraft and Cessna aircraft plants , the latter being the former Columbia Aircraft Corporation plant .
However, Roberts Field in Redmond (Oregon) , which is 18 km north of KBDN, serves as a commercial airport with a connection to the networks of major airlines in the region .
Especially at Bend Municipal Airport is its FAA location identifier BDN, which in the USA mostly corresponds to the IATA code, but BDN was instead assigned to Talhar Airport in Badin in Pakistan .
