Benjamin Eberling (* 1979 in Marburg an der Lahn) is a German musical actor and voice actor .

life and career

Eberling started early musical education at the age of six and joined the Limburger Domsingknaben at the age of eight . At the boarding school of the Limburger Domsingknaben in Hadamar, Hesse, near the city of Limburg , choir rehearsals took place, and here he received voice training and piano lessons.

Eberling was a member of the choir for 12 years, attending singing events in Finland, Great Britain, Spain, Israel and South Africa. A private concert for Pope John Paul II and some journalists in the Sistine Chapel was one of these trips.

After graduating from high school and doing military service, Eberling continued his musical training at the Stage School in Hamburg and began dubbing in 2005. In 2003, on the advice of his singing teacher Michael Dixon , he switched to the Berlin University of the Arts and completed his studies in "Musical and Show" in 2006. During this study Eberling worked with Frederike Haas , Thomas Zaufke , F. Dion Davis and Gayle Tufts and appeared as a member of the 10 tenors . With his song Tanzschulzeit Eberling won the Ralph Benatzky Chanson Prize at the 2005 National Singing Competition .

After completing his studies, a three-year permanent engagement followed in Hamburg in the hot corner , and he was on stage in 570 shows. During the same period Eberling got involved in the newly founded musical ensemble of the Theater für Niedersachsen and took on the roles of Richard in the German premiere of William Finns Nervensache (Original: A New Brain) and Lank Hawkins in Crazy for You . Benjamin Eberling also created the 70s hit revue Karamba under the direction of Corny Littmann in the Schmidt Theater Hamburg.

In summer 2015 Eberling then celebrated his debut at the Freilichtspiele Tecklenburg with flying colors. He became a crowd favorite in the role of “Sargente Garcia” in the musical Zorro and was the first male “Gumbi Cat” in a production of the musical classic by Andrew Lloyd Webbers Cats. In 2016, Eberling was drawn to the seas again, this time to the Mein Schiff1 from Tui Cruises with many shows and his solo hit program Die 70iger . Then there was a 10-year Letterland in Concert Revival in the Neuköllner Oper, jumped in for a few performances in the Heiße Ecke in Schmidts Tivoli and then took over the role of Es Joey in the tour of Sister Act again from November. Benjamin Eberling took on the role of Es Don in the German premiere of the successful musical Kinky Boots and will be seen at Operettenhaus Hamburg from December 2017 to September 2018.
