Benjamin Huber (born August 27, 1985 in Freudenstadt ) is a German soccer player . The goalkeeper has played for several clubs in southern Germany in his career so far.

Career

Huber began his adult career at SSV Ulm in 1846 . After playing at the Swabian club in his youth, he moved up behind Holger Betz as a substitute in the first team. After he was not used, he moved in 2005 within the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg to Heidenheimer SB . Since he became a regular there as a young player, FC Ingolstadt 04 steered him into the Regionalliga Süd . Together with Marco Sejna , however, he did not get beyond the role of substitute player for goalkeeper Michael Lutz and remained without commitment. Therefore, he left the second division promoted and joined the Stuttgarter Kickers in the third division as the second goalkeeper behind Manuel Salz . On the last day of the 2008/09 season he made his professional debut for the Stuttgarter Kickers when coach Rainer Kraft replaced him in the 84th minute of the 3-0 defeat against SC Paderborn 07 .

After the descent of the Stuttgarter Kickers in the Regionalliga Süd, Huber was initially without a club. For a short time it looked like a return to SSV Ulm in 1846, when he trained with the club for several weeks. Ultimately, the commitment did not materialize and Huber joined the Ulm district club SV Grimmelfingen in the district league. After a year in the district league, Huber played again at the beginning of the 2010/11 season for the upper division VfL Kirchheim and a year later for 1. FC Normannia Gmünd .

From the 2012/13 season Huber played in the Regionalliga Bayern for FV Illertissen . In the summer of 2015, he moved to the Bavarian district division TSV Neu-Ulm .
