Benoît Marie Pascal Rivière (born September 14, 1954 in Brive , Corrèze department , France ) is a French priest and bishop of Autun .

Life

Benoît Marie Pascal Rivière was ordained a priest on July 1, 1989 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Aquae Albae in Mauretania and auxiliary bishop in Marseille on December 14, 2000 . He was ordained episcopate on February 18, 2001, by the Archbishop of Marseille , Bernard Panafieu ; Co - consecrators were Jean-Pierre Ricard , Archbishop of Bordeaux , and Dominique Rey Comm. l'Emm. , Bishop of Fréjus-Toulon . As a motto he chose Ma grâce te suffit .

On April 8, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Autun. The solemn inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on April 30 of the same year.
