The Bergerschacht was a coal mine owned by the Baron von Burgker coal and ironworks . The shaft was located in the central part of the hard coal deposit of the Döhlen basin on Großburgker Flur.
history
Carl Gottlieb Dathe, the owner of the Burgk manor and the coal rights, began digging the shaft in 1810 . The at 258 m above sea level. The shaft set up above sea level reached a depth of 167.70 meters. From 134.20 meters, the first seam with a thickness of 5 meters was cut. In the cross passage driven to the east , the 1st seam increased in thickness and reached 8 meters. At a saiger distance of 7.40 meters, the 0.90 meter thick 2nd seam was crossed. At a saiger distance of 12 meters from the second seam, the 1.80 meter thick third seam was passed. The seam worth building here was excavated over an area of 7200 m 2 .
80 meters west of the shaft, the northern branch of the Beckerschachtverwerfung starts with a jump height of 14 meters from southeast to northwest through the pit field.
A gallery wing of the Burgker Weißeritz gallery served to drain the pit field . The mouth hole is on the right bank of the Weißeritz.
A side stretch of the daily route Oberes Revier in Burgk served as a journey for the team . This saved the installation of a driving art in the shaft. Initially, a horse goblet served to promote this . From 1844 a steam engine was used for pumping and dewatering . It was built by the barons of Burgker Eisenhüttenwerke.
In 1867, after the extraction of 358,726 t of hard coal, mining was stopped due to the exhaustion of supplies and the shaft was thrown out .
In 1953, Wismut AG dug shaft 3 ( shaft 360 ) to investigate the Bergerschachtfeld at 52 m to the west of the shaft . From 1955 the field was prepared and partially dismantled by the VEB hard coal works "Willi Agatz" . Battery locomotives of the types Karlik , Metallist and El 9 were used for horizontal conveying .
In 1971 the Bergerschacht was kept safe by the Bergsicherung .
