Bern is everywhere is a Swiss group of authors that was founded in 2003. It comprises 14 members from different Swiss language regions .

Name and appearances

The name Bern says it all ; In its manifesto, the group propagates the view that all languages ​​in the world are equal:

«We equate written languages ​​EVERYWHERE. There are no high and low languages ​​(...) We demand the equality of all languages. We demand the promotion of EVERYWHERE at all levels. "

The group makes about thirty performances per year, with three readers and one musician taking part. The selection and composition of the texts is redefined for each appearance. The central characteristics of the group are orality and dialect . Bern is everywhere and is a key player in the Swiss spoken word movement.

The group of authors has released several audio CDs . It is organized as an association .
