Bernardo Vieira de Souza , known as Bernardo (born May 20, 1990 in Sorocaba ) is a Brazilian midfielder. He is currently active for Al-Khaleej in Saudi Arabia .

Career

Bernado's father José Hélio Alexandre de Souza was also active as a football player. This played u. a. for Fluminense Rio de Janeiro , EC Bahia , Palmeiras São Paulo , EC Vitória and Sport Recife . Bernardo received his football training from Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte . At the club he also made the leap into the professional squad in 2009. he played his first competitive game for the club in the state championship of Minas Gerais on February 8, 2009 in the away game against Villa Nova AC . In the game he was substituted on in the 79th minute for Gérson Magrão . In the same competition Bernardo scored his first professional goal. In the home game against EC Democrata on March 26, 2009, he was in the starting line-up and scored the goal in the 57th minute to 6-0 (final score -7-0). In that year Bernardo also came to his first appearances in the championship. In the following season in 2010 he only appeared in the state championship for Cruzeiro and was then loaned to various clubs until the end of 2011. For the 2012 season, Bernardo moved permanently to CR Vasco da Gama , to which he was previously loaned. Since then, Bernardo has changed clubs annually, sometimes on loan. He was also active abroad in South Korea, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
