Bernay-en-Champagne is a town in the French commune of Bernay-Neuvy-en-Champagne and a former municipality last 494 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2015) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . It belonged to the Mamers arrondissement and the Loué canton (until 2015: Conlie canton ). The inhabitants are called Bernois .

The municipality of Bernay-en-Champagne merged with Neuvy-en-Champagne to form the municipality of Bernay-Neuvy-en-Champagne on January 1, 2019 .

geography

Bernay-en-Champagne is located about 20 kilometers west-northwest of Le Mans on the Végre . The municipality of Bernay-en-Champagne was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Tennie in the north and north-west, Neuvy-en-Champagne in the east and north-east, Amné in the south, Ruillé-en-Champagne in the south-west and Saint-Symphorien in the west.
