Bernd Steinhardt
Bernd Steinhardt (born August 20, 1960 in Bremen ) is a German writer .
Life
Bernd Steinhardt studied ethnology and anthropology at the University of Vienna . He specialized in the world views of Asia and Oceania and received his PhD in 1989 with an ethnological and philosophical thesis as a doctor of philosophy. He then delivered documentaries and reports for various German private broadcasters as a freelance television journalist . He also ran a studio for music and video productions. Extensive ethnologicalResearch trips took him to Southeast Asia , Polynesia and New Zealand . Since 1997 he has published narrative works that are heavily influenced by his scientific studies. Steinhardt, who is also active as a musician , now lives as a freelance writer in Bremen.
