Bernd Weiß (politician)
Bernd White (* 7. May 1968 in Mellrichstadt ) is a Bavarian politician ( CSU ), former member of the Bavarian Parliament , and was from 30 October 2008 to 7 October 2009 as State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior member of the Bavarian state government .
education and profession
Bernd Weiß attended primary school in Hendungen from 1974 to 1978 and grammar school in Mellrichstadt from 1978 to 1987. From 1988 to 1993 he studied law , political science and philosophy in Würzburg . In 1993 he passed his first state examination and in 1996 his second state examination. In between his doctorate he 1995 Magna cum laude at the University of Wuerzburg on the introduction and implementation of the European Charter of Local Self-Government in Germany (especially in Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia) for Dr. jur. After having worked in the Bavarian Notary Service since March 1997, Weiß was appointed as a notary for life in September 2000 . He is Protestant , married and has two children.
politics
Bernd Weiß has been a member of the CSU since 1988. From 1993 to 2003 he was local chairman of the CSU in Mellrichstadt; from 2001 to 2011 he was district chairman in Rhön-Grabfeld and deputy district chairman of Lower Franconia . From 1996 to 2008 he was also city councilor in Mellrichstadt and has been a district councilor in Rhön-Grabfeld since 2002. In 2006 he was a member of his party's policy committee. Weiß has been a deputy member of the Bavarian Constitutional Court since 2013 .
From October 6, 2003 to 2013, he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament. There he sat for his group as a member of the Committee on Constitutional, Legal, Parliamentary and Consumer Protection. In the Bavarian state election in September 2008 , he managed to re-enter parliament despite the large loss of votes by the CSU in the Haßberge district, Rhön-Grabfeld ( Lower Franconia constituency ). On October 30, 2008, Horst Seehofer appointed him to the Cabinet as Secretary of State for the Interior . Angry about the CSU chairman and Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer, Weiß resigned as State Secretary on October 7, 2009.
In January 2013, the Swiss IL-Verlag published his book Question What Your Land Can Do for You . In 2015 Placebo-Politik was published: Why politicians do everything but not what is necessary in Heyne Verlag .
