Bernhard Bohmeier

Bernhard Bohmeier (born February 23, 1916 ; † April 15, 1982 in Mainz ) was a German politician. From 1954 to 1969 he was district administrator of the district of St. Goar . From 1970 to 1981 he was then head of Department 8 - Disaster Management and Civil Defense - at the Ministry of the Interior and Sports of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Live and act

After graduating from school in 1937, Bohmeier began his career as an administrative officer in the Navy . After returning from the Second World War , he acquired the qualification for higher administrative service by studying at the Speyer Administration Academy in 1948. Following a position as a speaker in the State Chancellery , he was appointed District Administrator of the St. Goarshausen District (from 1961 Loreley District) in 1954, which was dissolved in 1969 as part of a district reform . From 1970 to 1974 he took over the management of the Disaster Management and Civil Defense Department in the Ministry of the Interior of Rhineland-Palatinate as Senior Ministerial Counselor and from 1974 to 1981 as Ministerial Director. Bohmeier retired in February 1981 and died about a year later at the age of 66.
