Ferdinand Berg

Friedrich Otto Gustav Ferdinand Berg (born November 20, 1852 in Stralsund , † August 8, 1924 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Ferdinand Berg studied at the University of Bonn law . In 1874 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Bonn . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1889 he was in Itzehoe District Administrator of the district Steinburg . In 1891 he moved to the Sankt Goarshausen district as district administrator . He held the office until 1918.

Berg was appointed a secret councilor. In 1896 he acquired the castle ruins of Burg Katz , which he had rebuilt as a residence according to plans by the Cologne architecture firm Schreiterer & Below .
