Bertram Blank (politician)

Bertram Blank (born April 9, 1930 in Bonn , † May 23, 1978 in Bergisch Gladbach ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician ( SPD ). From 1972 to 1978 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

Life

After graduating from high school, Blank studied law at the universities of Bonn , Cologne and Kiel . After passing the first state examination , he completed his legal clerkship with a focus on administrative law in the Cologne Higher Regional Court . In 1960 he passed the second state examination at the Judicial Examination Office in Düsseldorf . He then entered the administrative service as an assessor and worked for the district president in Cologne until 1965 . Most recently, he was Head of School and Sports Construction at the Cologne district government. From 1972 he practiced as a lawyer in Bergisch Gladbach.

Blank joined the SPD and was temporarily deputy chairman of the SPD sub-district Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis. From 1965 to 1972 he was first alderman of the city of Bensberg . In the federal elections in 1972 and 1976 he was elected to the German Bundestag , to which he belonged until his death. In 1972 he won the direct mandate in constituency 66 (Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis) and in 1976 he entered parliament via the state list of the SPD North Rhine-Westphalia . In the Bundestag he was a member of the budget committee from 1972 to 1978 and a member of the committee for research and technology from 1975 to 1976. He was also a member of the debt committee of the federal debt administration .

The Bertram-Blank-Straße in the Bergisch Gladbach district of Refrath was named after him.

Bertram Blank was married and had three children.
