Historical

1763 went the from the then Aschach in the "Land ob der Enns" (now Aschach an der Donau ) originating Posamentiergeselle Leopold Ammerer the roll and received a job in Posamentierbetrieb by Johann Psenner in - at that time Bavarian market - Ried im Innkreis . After the death of the master Psenner, the journeyman Leopold Ammerer married the widow Barbara Psenner. With the marriage, Leopold Ammerer acquired a co-ownership of the house at Schulgasse 5 (today: Johann-Georg-Hartwagner-Straße 17) as well as the Ried market citizenship. With his wife Mechtildis, he founded the family and the Ammerer company, thereby laying the foundation for future generations.

In 1816 the parent company on Rieder Hauptplatz was successfully acquired by the second generation. In addition to the actual shop, the building now houses the entire logistics , marketing and public relations department. From 1848 the third generation with eight children continued the successful textile sales. In 1888, the company incorporated the “cloth wholesale” sector, benefiting from the economic rise of the central Innviertel region.

In 1914, despite difficult economic conditions such as inflation , the economic crisis and the two world wars, the company was able to maintain and expand the retail trade in textiles. In 1949, the sixth generation moved the company's focus to Braunau am Inn and founded branches in Salzburg , Mattighofen and in the Bavarian region. The outbuilding was acquired in Ried. In 1981 the head office was moved back to Ried.
