Bettina Hammer

Bettina Hammer (* 3. May 1971 in Celle as Bettina Winsemann ), artist name Twister , is a German author who especially in the areas of data protection and social justice involved. Your activities concentrate on the online area, in particular on the collaboration in the working group on data retention .

Life

Born in Celle, she grew up in Fassberg , where she attended elementary and secondary school. After completing secondary school in 1987, she completed an apprenticeship as an administrative clerk in the administration of the district of Celle until 1990 . Then she moved to Celle and worked there in the youth welfare office of the district. In 1993 she stopped working as an administrative clerk and moved to Paderborn . In 1995 she met her first husband Peter Jodda. In Mainz she completed a second training as a foreign language correspondent in English. After moving to Celle together, Hammer separated from her husband and initially lived in Celle, Bonn and Mülheim an der Ruhr . This was followed by stays in Switzerland, Franconia and Lower Saxony. She has been living in Austria since April 2010.

In 2007, Hammer filed a successful constitutional complaint against the legalization of online searches by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution , which resulted in the basic right to “ guarantee the confidentiality and integrity of information technology systems ”. In January 2009 she filed another constitutional complaint against new regulations in the BKA Act .

Hammer also gained notoriety through her articles in the online magazine Telepolis . She also blogged at taz and ran a blog at Friday until 2011 . She self-published Sabrina and Twister as books and think about it !!! 1 .

She was also the press spokesperson for the Stop1984 citizens' initiative and was also responsible for the content of its website. Hammer was a member of the Pirate Party Germany .

On March 12, 2011, she changed her last name through marriage to Hammer .
