Beverly is a settlement in Hitchcock County in the US state of Nebraska , directly on US Highway 6 . Beverly is a so-called " Unincorporated Community ": Although the place has the status of a "Populated Place" and has an officially recognized name, it is not (no longer) recorded by the census .
history
In the course of the construction of new railway lines by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad railway company , the construction of a post office and the associated establishment of a settlement have been handed down for 1881. The place was named after Beverly in the state of Massachusetts . The post office was in operation until 1945.
Immigrants from Germany, more precisely from Fredelsloh in Lower Saxony , have been passed down as residents of Beverly for the late 19th and early 20th centuries .
A 1991 inventory of all Hitchcock County's sites and buildings listed three homes for Beverly, including the town's former school building.
