action

Roopa lives in poor circumstances with her drinking-addicted uncle, who forces her to go to work so that he can use her money to get alcohol. But Roopa cannot find work and is thrown out of the house. Her neighbor Raj helps her out of trouble and lends her some money. However, Roopa does not get along with this for long and is soon back to its original position. She doesn't know what to do and sees death as the only solution.

When she tries to kill herself, she is saved by the rich painter Ashok, who from then on uses her as a model for his pictures. Both make friends quickly and get even more wealth because of the pictures.

One day Raj re-enters Roopa's life and they fall in love, which makes Ashok very unhappy as he has also fallen in love with Roopa. Roopa runs off with Raj, not knowing that Raj is after her money to pay off his debt to the gangster Advani.

She catches Raj fleeing with her suitcase. But the gangsters shoot Raj because they suspected he would run away with the money. Upon finding out, Roopa returns to Ashok's house. There she wants to apologize to him. Unfortunately, she arrives too late because Ashok has committed suicide because of sheer lovesickness .
