Beyond Re-Animator (also on sale as Re-Animator 3 ) is a horror comedy produced in 2003 in the USA and Spain . It's the third installment in the Re-Animator series, which began in 1985 and was continued with Bride of Re-Animator in 1990 .

action

Herbert West's experiment to create a woman failed and he was arrested. There was only a little boy there who was fascinated by the color of the nanoplasm and immediately plugged in the syringe. 13 years later, Dr. West is still in prison and continues his experiments on rats. He is certain that he has finally achieved the breakthrough: The nanoplasma seems to give the resurrected willless zombies back their original personality. The boy has now become a grown doctor. Still impressed by West's means, he lets himself be transferred to Herbert West's asylum as a prison doctor. Once again in possession of his beloved neon green centerpiece, West begins to revive people all over again. But its apparently foolproof nanoplasm also seems to have side effects and there is also this huge inmate uprising. The two catastrophes set course for each other to discharge in the ultimate disaster.

criticism

The lexicon of international films writes: "Third part of a film series that trivializes the classic" Frankenstein "material and at best attracts attention through exaggerated splatter effects."
