Bhiwani is a city (since December 19, 2010 a Municipal Council ) in the north-west Indian state of Haryana .
The city is located at an altitude of 222 m 110 km west of the federal capital New Delhi . Bhiwani is the administrative seat of the district of the same name . The city had 196,057 inhabitants at the 2011 census. In Bhiwani, 98% of the population is Hindu .
Highways connect Bhiwani with the surrounding cities of Hisar , Hansi and Rohtak . Railway lines lead from Bhiwani to Rewari , to Hisar and to Rohtak.
