Bhiwani is a district in the northwestern Indian state of Haryana .

The district was established on December 22, 1972. The district is located in the Hisar division - about 120 km west of Delhi . In the west it borders on the state of Rajasthan . It extends over an area of ​​5099 km². In the north of the district are alluvial plains . In the south, on the other hand, there is a semi-desert landscape with the northern foothills of the Aravalli Mountains .
