Fatehabad (or Fatehbad ; Urdu ضِلع فتح آباد Panjabi ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਫਤਿਹਾਬਾਦ ) is a district in the north-west Indian state of Haryana .
The district is in the Hisar division - about 190 km northwest of Delhi . It extends over an area of 2538 km².

The literacy rate was 67.92% (76.14% for men, 58.87% for women). 82.72% of the population belonged to the Hindus , 16.03% to the Sikhs . The seat of the district administration is the city of Fatehabad .
