The Public Library of jonava district municipality ( lithuanian Jonavos rajono savivaldybės viešoji biblioteka ) is a library in Jonava , Kaunas district ( Lithuania ). It has 16 branches in the district of Jonava (in places like Rimkai , Batėgala , Bukonys , Čičinai , Išorai , Kuigaliai , Kulva , Liepiai , Panoteriai , Rukla , Šilai , Upninkai , Žeimiai etc.). Address is Žeimių g. 9, Jonava, LT-55158.

history

In 1939, the Jonava State Library ( Jonavos valstybinė viešoji biblioteka ) was built in what is now Prezidento Street . It was closed in 1941 and re-established in 1945/46. In 1950 it became the district library (since Jonava became the district center). In 1992 the Jonava Raion Central Library got its current premises on Žeimiai Street.
