The Bieke rises and runs in the middle part of the Ebbegebirge Nature Park . Its source is in the forest area "Olper Stadtwald" about 1.7 km northeast of Griesemert , a northeastern part of Olpe , or about 1.2 km west-southwest of the Rothen Stein mountain top ( 582.2 m above sea level ). It is located at about 493 m above sea level directly on the federal road 55 .
The predominantly westward running Bieke feeds several fish ponds in its upper reaches and then flows through Siedenstein , a north-northeastern part of Olpe. A little further north of this village the Negro flows in from the east .
At the mouth of Negro the Bieke bends to the west, about 450 meters Further downstream in Olpe Weiler Kessenhammer from the east to 307.5 m height in the carrying of the Bigge Bigge to lead . While its streambed is now flooded by the water masses of the reservoir when it is fully flooded, the Bieke used to flow around 1.3 km further until it flowed into the Bigge River at 19.45 km.
