Bienvenu Manamika Bafouakouahou (born October 16, 1964 in Brazzaville , Republic of the Congo ) is a Congolese Roman Catholic clergyman and appointed Coadjutor Archbishop of Brazzaville .

Life

Bienvenu Manamika Bafouakouahou received the sacrament of ordination on August 29, 1993 after studying theology and canon law . Afterwards he carried out pastoral activities in the diocese of Kinkala and was a teacher at the Kinkala Minor Seminary . From 1996 to 2003 he continued his studies at the University of Salamanca and obtained a doctorate in canon law . In 2004 he became vicar general of the Kinkala diocese.

On May 24, 2013, Pope Francis appointed him the first bishop of the Dolisie diocese, which was established on the same date . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Panama and former Nuncio in the Republic of the Congo, Archbishop Andrés Carrascosa Coso , on August 25 of the same year. Co- consecrators were Louis Portella , Bishop of Kinkala, and Daniel Mizonzo , Bishop of Nkayi .

On April 18, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him Coadjutor Archbishop of Brazzaville.
