Andrés Carrascosa Coso (born December 16, 1955 in Cuenca , Spain ) is a Spanish clergyman, Roman Catholic archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

The Bishop of Cuenca , José Guerra Campos , ordained him a priest on July 2, 1980 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Titular Archbishop of Elo and Apostolic Nuncio in the Republic of the Congo on July 31, 2004 . He was ordained bishop by Cardinal Secretary of State Angelo Sodano on October 7th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Archbishop Robert Sarah the Bishop of Cuenca, Ramón del Hoyo López . On August 26, 2004, John Paul II also called him to be Apostolic Nuncio in Gabon .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on January 12, 2009 as Apostolic Nuncio in Panama . On June 22, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Apostolic Nuncio in Ecuador .
