The Roman Catholic Diocese of Nkayi ( Latin Dioecesis Nkayiensis , French Diocèse de Nkayi ) is in the Republic of Congo situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Nkayi .

history

The diocese of Nkayi was established on December 5, 1983 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Quandoquidem Christi from cession of the diocese of Pointe-Noire and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Brazzaville as a suffragan . On May 24, 2013, the Dolisie diocese was founded on its territory .

On May 30, 2020, Pope Francis made the diocese of Nkayi subordinate to the Archdiocese of Pointe-Noire as a suffragan.
