Bila ( Ukrainian Біла ; Russian Белая Belaja , Polish Biała ) is a village in the Ukrainian Ternopil Oblast with about 2900 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in the second half of the 16th century, formed its own district council in Ternopil district until 2018 . On 27 July 2018, the village became the center of the newly established rural community Bila ( Білецька сільська громада Bilezka silska hromada ) count to the following villages: Ihrowyzja , Iwatschiw Dolischnij ( Івачів Долішній ) Iwatschiw Horischnij ( Івачів Горішній ) Plotytscha , Tschystyliw ( Чистилів ) and Velykyj Hlybotschok .
Bila is located in the north of the city of Ternopil on the left bank of the Seret , a left tributary of the Dniester , which forms the Ternopil Pond ( Тернопільський став ) in the south of the village . The P-39 regional road runs through the village, which has a station on the Krasne – Odessa railway line .
Personalities
There is a museum about her in the former home of Salome Kruschelnytska in the village . Her sister, the opera and concert singer Hanna Kruschelnyzka ( Ганна Амвросіївна Крушельницька ; 1887-1965) was born in Bila.
