The wayside shrine in front of the Dennach 3 property is a small monument that was created in the 18th century in the hamlet of Dennach , a district of the Upper Franconian town of Kronach .

The wayside shrine, made of sandstone , originally stood around 1.5 kilometers to the east in the Haßlach valley near the Stressener bridge. From there, the individual parts of the torture, which had fallen into disrepair over time, were brought to Dennach, where they were placed in front of the barn on Dennach 1 until 1956 . Since a fire in the barn and its subsequent reconstruction, the base and shaft of the once three meter high wayside shrine have disappeared; possibly they were used as rolling during the construction work . Only the four-sided torture tower, which is now a listed building , has been preserved. In 1984, a new shaft with a capital was made by the Kronach master stonemason, Günter Gehring , in order to be able to complete the monument again. The rebuilding of the wayside shrine at its current location in the front garden of the Dennach 3 property took place on December 1, 1984.

A base was dispensed with here. The four-sided pillar shaft tapers towards the top and ends in a stepped capital; it was deliberately designed simply to stand out from the historical essay. This is also three-fold at its base. On three of the four sides there are reliefs with images of saints: the front side shows the coronation of Mary by the Trinity , on the two narrow sides St. Heinrich and probably St. John Nepomuk are depicted; however, this relief is damaged. A painted sheet metal panel was originally attached to the fourth side, but it has come off. The roof of the tower with retracted arched gables is crowned by a stone ball with an iron double cross bar.
